Priority Deadline: Is it Too Late to Apply? | Technological Leadership Institute
Priority Deadline: Is it Too Late to Apply?
The short answer is no! It is not too late to apply, but once the deadline passes applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis dependent upon the number of available seats in each of the cohorts. Each of the Technological Leadership Institute’s (TLI) three Master of Science programs launches one cohort per year.
What does the priority deadline mean?
TLI implemented the following priority deadlines to ensure a collective and thorough review of all submitted applications before extending admission offers. Because of an increasing pool of applicants, those who submit their materials on or before these dates will receive first consideration.
M.S. in Medical Device Innovation (MDI) – February 12, 2018
M.S. in Security Technologies (MSST) – February 19, 2018
M.S. in Management of Technology (MOT) – March 12, 2018
Qualified candidates will be invited to interview with the director of graduate studies for their respective program before an admissions decision is made. Notification of admission decisions will be sent within three weeks of the priority deadline.
What happens after the priority deadline?
Once the priority deadline has passed, new application submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis and admission decisions will be made contingent upon available space within each cohort.
What if I am a strong candidate but the cohort is already full?
TLI purposely limits the size of its cohorts to enhance learning and offer the best possible student experience. Qualified candidates who submit their application after the priority deadline may be placed on a waitlist if the program is at capacity. Waitlisted candidates may be offered admission into the cohort if seats become available before the start of the program. If a candidate remains on the waitlist after the program has started, s/he will receive priority consideration for the following year’s cohort.
I would like to apply, where do I start?
We encourage all candidates who are interested in one of our programs to start by attending an upcoming information session to meet the director of graduate studies and learn more. If you are ready to apply, we have laid out easy, step-by-step application instructions online. If you have any questions you can request more information online or reach out to our admissions team:
