Eighth annual three-day conference draws nationally-renowned experts to improve the state of cyber security

As a founding partner, the University of Minnesota’s Technological Leadership Institute (TLI) is proud to be a presenting sponsor of the eighth annual Cyber Security Summit, taking place October 22-24 in downtown Minneapolis. With cyber threats rapidly evolving and growing more complex, cross-sector collaboration is increasingly important to prevent and address challenges. The Cyber Security Summit gathers industry, government and academic leaders to discuss foreign and domestic cybersecurity problems and best practices.
The three-day event will feature nationally-renowned cybersecurity experts, including featured speakers:
- Tim Crothers, VP of Cyber Security at Target
- Matthew Rhoades, Managing Director of the Cybersecurity and Technology Program at the Aspen Institute
- Tony Sager, Senior VP and Chief Evangelist, Center for Internet Security
- Bruce Schneier, CTO at IBM Resilient
In addition to the signature speakers, TLI Senior Fellow Andrew Borene, a senior manager at Deloitte’s Risk & Financial Advisory team, will discuss national policy (October 23, 9:30 a.m.) and cyber operations and intelligence for industry leaders (October 23 at 10:30 a.m.). The Summit offers sessions on a wide range of topics, including cyber hygiene; critical infrastructure; cyber security for healthcare and medical devices; DevSecOps; trade secret theft protection; leadership for cloud security; national and global policy; blockchain; Big Data; and much more.
