More than seventy students honored in commencement ceremony at Mariucci Arena

The University of Minnesota Technological Leadership Institute (TLI) recognized more than seventy graduates in the Arts, Sciences and Engineering graduate student commencement ceremony held at Mariucci Arena April 29, 2016.
"TLI students and graduates are at the core of the Institute's success, and we are extremely proud of their accomplishments," said Dr. Massoud Amin, director of the Technological Leadership Institute.
The graduates completed one of TLI's three graduate degree programs: Master of Science in Management of Technology (MOT), a four-semester program aimed at transforming engineering, science and other technical professionals into business leaders, Master of Science in Security Technologies (MSST), a 14-month program designed to shape tomorrow's risk management policymakers and innovators, and the Master of Science in Medical Device Innovation (MDI), a 14-month program designed to prepare students to manage complex innovation challenges in the global medical technology industry. TLI graduate degree programs consist of professionals working in high-tech industries looking to build the leadership and technical skills needed to advance their careers.
"The outstanding contributions our students and graduates make to technological innovation within the program and post-graduation impact all aspects of high-tech industries," said Amin. "The professionals who enroll in our degree programs continue to be among the best of the best, as are the TLI faculty members who have dedicated their careers to grooming the next generation of technology leaders."
TLI hosted a celebratory reception at The Commons Hotel in the Pinnacle Ballroom from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. following the commencement to honor the graduates. Kirk Froggatt, the Gemini Chair in Technology Management at the Technological Leadership Institute delivered the faculty keynote address. Chris Herbst, student from the MOT class of 2016 delivered the keynote on behalf of the graduates.
