MDI Instructor's Company Wins 2018 Tekne Award for Innovation in Medical Devices | Technological Leadership Institute

RxFunction, of which TLI faculty member Dr. Lars Oddsson is CTO and co-founder/co-inventor, has been awarded the 2018 Tekne Award in the Medical Device category by the Minnesota High Tech Association (MHTA). The annual award honors Minnesota-based organizations and people who have positively impacted people through the development of new technologies. RxFunction was recognized for its sensory neuroprosthesis technology known as Walkasins®, which improve balance and gait in patients with peripheral neuropathy, a condition that affects nerve sensation in the feet. Dr. Oddsson teaches in our M.S. in Medical Device Innovation program.
