Master of Science in Security Technologies
The Technological Leadership Institute helps make communities safer by preparing the next generation of security leaders through the Master of Science in Security Technologies (MSST) degree program. This program focuses on training aspiring experts to shape tomorrow’s cyber, physical and virtual security systems. The MSST degree program includes concentrations in cybersecurity, all 16 critical infrastructures, and applies a real-world approach to addressing emerging threats and risks. Our graduates are equipped with the skills to address a broad spectrum of security issues, including aging infrastructure, natural disasters, critical networks and systems, and threats of terrorism, disease and crime.
The MSST degree program is designed to prepare engineers, scientists and other professionals to meet the rapidly growing needs of the security industry. Qualified applicants can fulfill the following admissions requirements:
- Three to five years of relevant work experience
- Undergraduate degree
- Cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or above
- Demonstrated leadership potential
In just 14 months, the MSST degree program will give you the opportunity to confront and solve real-world challenges as you secure tomorrow’s critical infrastructure systems. Mike Johnson is the director of graduate studies for the Master of Science in Security Technologies degree program. Mike brings 25 years of experience to TLI, formerly serving as CISO and Operations Risk Director at Bremer Bank. The MSST faculty roster includes many nationally renowned security experts, like Dr. Amy Kircher who leads the food safety component of the degree program.
