Peter Willenbring is a registered professional engineer with 28 years of experience as a water resource engineering consultant primarily working on city, county, state and federal projects that have involved virtually all aspects of water resource engineering, management, design or planning.   He received his bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1978.  Since that time, he has developed or managed water resource related projects or regulatory programs in most of the cities or watershed districts within the Twin Cities metropolitan area. In this capacity, he has analyzed, designed or managed the construction of over a thousand projects related to storm sewer or open channel flow improvements, stormwater impoundments, stormwater treatment, and lake restoration.  He has also developed and implemented community-wide Comprehensive Storm Water Management Plans for over 50 communities, watershed districts, or watershed management organizations within the State of Minnesota and assisted in the preparation of State Rules regarding the development of these plans.

Mr. Willenbring is also trained as a certified Civil Mediator and routinely provides expert witness testimony on numerous matters related to stormsewer sytem design, flooding, and construction management.  He is a former employee of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency where he served as an Environmental Engineer in the Region V Surveillance and Analysis Division. Mr. Willenbring is a Principal and the Water Resources Group Manager of the 160-person engineering firm WSB and Associates.
