Vaughan R. Voller

Vaughan received his B.Sc. and M.Sc in applied mathematics from the University of East Anglia (UK) in 1975 and 1976 respectively. He received a PhD from the University of Suderland (UK) in 1980. He is a Fellow of The Institute of Mathematics and its Applications. Professor Voller teaches courses in the use of computer technologies in civil and infrastructure engineering. His main research areas are (i) modeling of heat and mass transfer phenomena and (ii) analysis of free and moving boundary problems.

Current areas of interest are focused on solidification phenomena, and natural and engineered geological systems. This work has resulted in approaching 90 papers in the leading referred journals and has, according to the science citation index, been cited more that 1250 times. In addition he has graduated 10 PhD students.
