    TLI Faculty Member, Security Expert Responds to YouTube HQ Shooting

    Michael Rozin, a security expert who teaches in our M.S. in Security Technologies program, spoke with reporters about the recent shooting at YouTube headquarters. Rozin -- who has worked on security at Super Bowl LII, the Mall of America and other projects -- says that, compared to most mass shootings, this incident was highly abnormal in many aspects.     MDI Alumnus Leads Twin Cities Med-Tech Accelerator

    TLI alumnus in the news: 2016 M.S. in Medical Device Innovation (MDI) alumnus Adam Choe is quoted in an article about gener8tor, which is partnering with the University of Minnesota, the Mayo Clinic and Boston Scientific to launch gBETA Medtech, a seven-week medical technology accelerator. Adam Choe is the director of gBETA Medtech, which is gener8tor's first industry-focused program. After graduating from MDI in 2016, Adam was an Innovation Fellow at the Earl E. Bakken Medical Devices Center from 2016-2018.

    Risk Management: Innovation’s Friend or Foe?

    At this week's Medical Device Validation Week Conference, the Director of Graduate Studies for the M.S. in Medical Device Innovation Dr. Daniel Mooradian will be giving the talk "Navigating Risk Management Throughout Product Development." This blog explores some of the ideas he will touch on, and the difficult-to-strike balance that innovators face when trying to achieve business growth but practice risk management.

    Security Expert Michael Rozin Responds to National Conversation on Guns in Schools

    In the aftermath of the Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida, gun safety is again at the forefront of national conversation -- this time with some arguing for arming teachers and other educational staff with firearms in schools. TLI faculty member Michael Rozin spoke with reporters about this controversial issue. Rozin is a security expert who has worked on a wide range of security projects, including the 2018 Super Bowl. Rozin teaches in the Master of Science in Security Technologies program.
