Craig Waldron has a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Iowa, a Master's Degree in Urban and Regional Studies from Minnesota State University, and a Doctorate in Public Administration from Hamline University. He has also completed Post-Doctoral work at Hamline.

Past employment has included Community Development Director - City of Roseville, Business Finance Specialist - State of Minnesota, Director of Physical and Economic Development – Region Nine Development Commission, Assistant Director - Region F Crime Commission, Planner - City of Mankato.
