Unofficial transcripts or academic records should be uploaded directly to the online application. International students should also upload an English translation if the transcript is not in English. Please do not mail in paper copies of your transcripts, there is no need for official transcripts or academic records for initial review.

If you are admitted, the University will then request official copies of this material.

Click here for important information about uploading your transcripts and credentials.

Letters of Recommendation

Enter the names and email addresses of the three required letter writers directly into AY. All three letters should be from managers or clients who have reviewed your professional capabilities. Your current or direct manager should write one of your three letters.

ApplyYourself will automatically generate an email to your letter writers with a form for them to fill out. The MOT program prefers a slightly different form, please ask your letter writers to use this instead: http://z.umn.edu/motrecform.  The MOT form can still be uploaded into AY by following the instructions in the email from AY.  Letter writers may email the form directly to Amy Danzeisen at mot@umn.edu if they prefer.

Interview

After all of the above items are completed, the program adviser will complete an intital application review. After the initial review, all qualified applicants will be contacted in order to arrange a candidate interview with the MOT Admissions Committee; all further interview details are sent once scheduled. The interview is the final step in the application process, admission review is on going, and applicants typically get a decision within one week. As the MOT program has a rolling admission process, early application is recommended.
